Hard to believe~two posts in one day (don’t get used to it)! You may have noticed I added a verse of the week on the sidebar. One of my goals last year was to memorize more Scripture; that goal, unfortunatley, was not much of a success. I decided to try again this year and thought maybe some accountability would be helpful. Every week or so I will post a new verse(s) to memorize and meditate on. The reason for choosing Lamentations 3:21-25 first is because that is one I tried memorizing last year. There is an index card on my mirror with those verses on it and another by the kitchen sink, and yet, it remains unmemorized. I love that passage; the promises and hope it brings, and the reminder to be one who waits for God and seeks after Him. Ultimately the goal is not so much to memorize the words in my head, but to hide them in my heart and know them in such a way that I understand my God more fully, know how to serve Him more effectively, and bring glory to His name.
Maybe someone will join me on the journey!
